CoolMini and Micro Liposuction: Alternatives to Kybella Chin Reduction

CoolMini and Micro Liposuction: Alternatives to Kybella Chin Reduction

Alternatives to Kybella Chin Reduction | Richmond Medical SpaExcess fat tissue deposit in the neck area is a common problem for both men and women, and can give an unsightly appearance of a double chin. A number of minimally invasive procedures are available today to address the issue of submental fat or fat below the chin.
However, it is important to choose the most appropriate procedure that meets a patient’s unique health and cosmetic goals. MBody provides CoolMini and Micro Liposuction as two safe, proven and effective solutions to reduce chin fat.

    Limitations of Kybella Injections

The board certified plastic surgeons at MBody, Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin, recommend non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures such as CoolMini and Micro Liposuction over Kybella injections. Kybella treatment is typically marked by certain limitations, which include:

    • At least three to four treatment sessions may be needed with Kybella, which makes it a more time-consuming as well as more expensive option
    • Multiple needle injections will be administered in each treatment session, which can be a daunting and painful prospect for many patients.
    • Post-treatment swelling or ‘bullfrog’ effect will be noticeable for up to one week after each treatment session, which can be a prolonged process when the patient has to undergo multiple treatments.

    CoolMini by CoolSculpting

is an FDA-cleared device specially designed to address unwanted fat pockets in smaller areas such as under the chin. The treatment is completely non-invasive, and involves no incisions, needles or medications. The patient will typically require only two treatment sessions to achieve their desired chin appearance. Minor swelling or bruising may be expected, but typically no downtime is involved.
CoolMini treatment is also more affordable compared to Kybella injections. It employs the same unique fat-freezing technique as CoolSculpting to eliminate targeted fat cells in a selective manner. CoolMini applicator will direct the powerful cooling energy at the fat cells, causing them to freeze and gradually disintegrate.
The disintegrated cells will be naturally reabsorbed by the body’s own metabolic process, while the outer skin layers remain without damage to minimize the post-treatment recovery. The patient can return to their normal routine immediately, and the procedure will cause no significant discomfort during or after the treatment session.

    Micro Liposuction of the Neck

This is an innovative in-office liposuction treatment that is performed by board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin. The patient will remain awake throughout the treatment without requiring general anesthesia or sedation. Minimal discomfort will occur during and after the procedure, and most patients can return to their normal routine within a day if cosmetic appearance is not a concern.
The micro liposuction technique called LITTLE Lipo can be performed at MBody using only local tumescent anesthetic and mild anti-anxiety medications. Only very tiny incisions will be made to minimize swelling and bruising. Just like traditional liposuction the micro liposuction technique will gently suction out excess fatty tissue from submental area through very fine cannulas, which are typically only about 3 to 5 mm in diameter.

What is Fraxel Fractional Laser Treatment?

What is Fraxel Fractional Laser Treatment? | Richmond Medical SpaFor women and men who want to avoid plastic surgery to address the conditions of sun damage, mild to moderate wrinkles and fine lines and other skin imperfections, Fraxel fractional laser treatment provides a powerful non-surgical alternative. With minimal discomfort and downtime, patients can achieve their cosmetic goals for their skin appearance.
MBody, led by board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin, provides Fraxel fractional laser treatment to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and surrounding locations.

    How does it Work?

The specialized Fraxel laser device directs short bursts of light energy at the affected areas of the skin to remove the damaged skin cells one layer at a time. It then utilizes the power of thermal energy to gently heat the dermis layers underneath, causing stimulation of new collagen production. Collagen is a vital protein for the growth of health skin cells, and contributes to a volumized, smooth skin appearance.
Nearly one million Fraxel procedures have been successfully performed over the last one decade on both women and men of all skin types and ethnic backgrounds. Patients who are bothered by one or more of the following skin conditions, but want to avoid plastic surgery, may benefit from Fraxel laser skin resurfacing:

    • Acne/surgical/injury-related scars
    • Hyperpigmentation (skin darkening)
    • Fine to moderate lines and wrinkles
    • Sun damaged or aging skin
    • Liver spots, age spots, and other skin abnormalities
    • Acne prone skin or enlarged oil glands
    • Actinic keratosis

    Procedure

The procedure to perform Fraxel laser resurfacing is highly precise. The laser beams will target only about 15 percent of the skin’s surface within the affected area. The laser energy will penetrate deep into the innermost skin layers to produce sustainable and natural looking effects from within.
This fractional approach preserves and protects the surrounding facial tissue, preventing unwanted lightening of the skin and promoting quick healing. A treatment session with Fraxel laser will usually last from 15 to 45 minutes. Discomfort will be minimal, which may be comparable to mild sunburn.
No post-treatment downtime is involved with this procedure. The best outcomes with Fraxel laser resurfacing are typically achieved in about three to five treatment sessions. Each session should be spaced about one week apart. The treatment provider will closely work with the patient to create a customized Fraxel laser plan to match with the patient’s unique needs and fit into their busy schedule.
Fraxel treatment works with the body’s natural skin regeneration cycle. Therefore, the patient will be able to notice full results in about one to three weeks following the procedure. Board certified plastic surgeons at MBody receive patients from Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and nearby areas for Fraxel laser skin resurfacing.
Experienced treatment providers at MBody will ensure that the patient receives personalized care and attention throughout the laser resurfacing process, and gains a rejuvenated and refreshed look they want.

    Fraxel Laser

Fraxel laser resurfacing is a practiced solution to the visible signs of aging. Nearly a million Fraxel treatments have been performed on both women and men over the last one decade. Patients of all skin types and ethnic backgrounds, who want to achieve skin rejuvenation without plastic surgery, can benefit from Fraxel laser skin resurfacing.
The advanced Fraxel laser device directs pulsating light beams at the targeted areas of the skin to eliminate the damaged skin cells one layer at a time. It further employs the power of thermal energy to heat the underlying skin layers, triggering the fresh generation of collagen fibers to rebuild a healthy, volumized skin structure.

    DOT Therapy

Sun damaged or aging skin can be treated successfully with a unique dermal optical thermolysis (DOT) technique. DOT CO2 laser treatments are becoming more popular for the treatment of mild to moderate signs of photo damage and photo aging. The procedure is very low risk and completely non-surgical.
The treatment providers at MBody work under the guidance of experienced plastic surgeons to provide this therapy to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and nearby areas.
DOT therapy can create significant skin rejuvenation outcomes in a simple procedure lasting for about 30 to 60 minutes. Post-treatment downtime is minimal, and multiple skin concerns can be addressed all at one time to renew the skin’s health and appearance.

    Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser based tattoo removal is an effective way to improve or eliminate an unwanted permanent tattoo in almost any area of the body. The entire tattoo removal procedure may involve about 4 to 12 sessions of about 5 to 20 minutes each. Each session will be spaced about two months apart.
The variation in treatment sessions occurs due to the different size, age, color, placement and density of each tattoo. People with a fair skin will usually require fewer tattoo removal sessions than the ones with darker skin tone.

    Clear + Brilliant

Clear + Brilliant laser skin resurfacing achieves its goals with minimal to no discomfort and no post-treatment downtime. The device is designed to deliver low power laser energy into the deeper layers of the skin, which promotes cell regeneration and provides various corrective and preventive benefits.
Clear + Brilliant targets and improves early signs of aging, age spots and sun spots, uneven pigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines and dull skin tone. It will also help to reduce the enlarged pores, soften and smooth rough, dry skin and provide a radiant glow. The treatment is appropriate for all skin types and ethnicities.

    NovaThreads Non-Invasive Facelift Recovery Time

NovaThreads Non-Invasive Facelift Recovery Time | Richmond | McLeanNovaThreads is a minimally invasive, instant facelift technique that works in the deep tissue to lift sagging areas and stimulate collagen to create and maintain youthful facial contours. The procedure involves no plastic surgery, which allows for a quick recovery and almost no downtime.
Patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and surrounding locations have an opportunity to receive NovaThreads non-invasive facelift from board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin.

    Lunch-Time Procedure

NovaThreads non-invasive facelift is popularly known as a lunch time procedure. Working people can actually make an appointment with the treatment provider during their lunch hour, and simply return to their workplace after the treatment session is completed during the lunch time. The patient will not have to take time off from work, and can simply resume their normal activities once the treatment session is over.
Busy mothers can also benefit from NovaThreads non-invasive facelift for the same reason because they usually want to avoid plastic surgery options. NovaThreads procedure gives them the opportunity to create a subtle facial lift and rejuvenation in a short and quick visit to the provider’s office. The procedure can easily fit into their everyday schedule, and involves no special recovery process or downtime.
The procedure typically requires about one hour, and involves no cuts, incisions or general anesthesia. Procedures that involve general anesthesia will usually have at least some downtime until the effect of anesthesia is erased. This concern is entirely avoided in case of NovaThreads facelift.

    Minimal to No Risk

In more invasive procedures such as facelift surgery, the challenge is not just limited to the amount of downtime involved. These procedures also have several risks and complications associated with them. If an infection or another complication arises, the overall recovery process could be extended.
When a patient accepts to undergo cosmetic surgery, they will have to recognize the risks and be prepared for that rare eventuality when a post-operative complication may arise. However, in case of NovaThreads non-invasive facelift treatment, such risks that are normally associated with a surgery are almost entirely avoided.
The suture material that is used in case NovaThreads, called PDO, is safe, absorbable and adequately test over several years. The body safely reabsorbs the sutures within four to six months, leaving behind attractive, lifted facial contours that can sustain for up to two years.

    NovaMesh vs NovaLyft Recovery

Two primary procedures performed with NovaThreads technique include NovaMesh and NovaLyft. NovaMesh is simpler as comared to NovaLyft and is ideally suited for people who seek more subtle facial rejuvenation. NovaLyft, on the other hand can create more dramatic lift. Recovery in case of NovaMesh will, therefore, be simpler and faster than in the case of NovaLyfit.
Patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and other nearby neighborhoods and cities through the region have an opportunity to receive both NovaMesh and NovaLyft procedures from experienced plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin.

    Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Facelift

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Facelift | Richmond Medical Spa | ViennaPlatelet rich plasma (PRP) is an innovative and highly promising procedure to treat facial wrinkles, acne scars, and address other facial imperfections and signs of aging. The procedure is ideally suited for people who want to avoid facelift plastic surgery, but achieve facial rejuvenation in a minimally invasive way.
Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin are board certified plastic surgeons providing PRP facelift and various other advanced and innovative cosmetic procedures to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and surrounding locations.

    ‘Vampire’ Facelift

The PRP (platelet rich plasma) facelift is popularly known by the name of “Vampire Facelift”. This is a non-surgical procedure involving the delivery of PRP material, which is extracted from the patient’s own blood, into affected areas of the face in order to restore a smoother, more volumized and rejuvenated facial appearance.
To create more comprehensive outcomes without plastic surgery, the treatment providers at MBody will combine PRP injections with microneedling technique., which is the dense inner skin layer below the epidermis.

    Candidates

PRP facelift is a safe, non-surgical procedure, which can be suitable for nearly any adult who wants to achieve facial rejuvenation without surgery. Even elderly patients make good candidates for this treatment because they may want to avoid more invasive procedures due to higher risk of complications and slow recovery. Busy moms and working people are ideal candidates because PRP facelift will involve minimal downtime and discomfort, and easily fit into their busy schedules.

    How does PRP Work?

Every part of the body contains stem cells, including the skin. The PRP factors activate the dormant stem cells that may be lying on the facial skin through the growth factors found in PRP. When the dormant stem cells are reactivated, they help in the growth of new, younger looking skin. Patients can achieve more youthful and vibrant facial skin without involving any cuts, incisions or plastic surgery.

    Procedure

The first step in the PRP facelift procedure is to collect blood from the patient. About two to four vials of blood will be drawn from the patient’s arm. The blood will be sent through a centrifugal process to separate plasma and platelets from the red blood cells. Once this is done, 3 to 6 ml of platelet rich plasma (PRP) will be extracted.
The PRP will then be blended with a special vitamin serum used to fill out wrinkles in order to create a more youthful facial look. The next stage will be to inject the PRP in the targeted areas of the face. The area will be numbed with a topical anesthetic cream to mitigate discomfort from needling.
The process of spreading the PRP onto the patient’s face will begin once the numbing effect has occurred. The microneedling device will be used to apply PRP along with the injections. Experienced plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin receive patients from Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and other areas in the region for PRP facelift.

    Preparing for Liposuction Plastic Surgery

Preparing for Liposuction Plastic Surgery | Richmond | Chevy ChaseLiposuction has continued to rank for the last several years among the top five most popular plastic surgery procedures in the US. Advance preparation for the surgery is a key component of the overall process, and creates the foundation for a successful liposuction procedure. The patient should have a commitment to diligently follow the surgeon’s instructions for preparation.
A well-prepared patient will typically have greater confidence levels, better decision making, and realistic expectations from the liposuction process. This increases their chances of achieving the best possible personal satisfaction from the final outcome.
Board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin provide liposuction to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and surrounding locations.

    Before the Surgery

The following tasks should be completed by the patient prior to the date of liposuction plastic surgery in order to be sufficiently prepared for the procedure:

    • Arrange for the past medical records from the physician and specialists to be sent to the office of the liposuction surgeon.
    • Prepare a list of currently used prescription and non-prescription medications, including blood thinners, NSAIDs, herbal supplements and vitamins to show to the surgeon.
    • Get any x-rays or lab tests performed as per the surgeon’s advice.
    • Adjust the schedule of current prescription drugs in consultation with the physician, if required.
    • Stop smoking for a certain period of time prior to the surgery as per the surgeon’s instructions.
    • Complete any urgent tasks at the workplace or home well in advance to ensure a stress-free recovery phase.
    • Arrange for transportation to reach home safely after the liposuction surgery.
    • If necessary, arrange for aftercare for the first few days of the post-op period.

The best way to ensure a safe liposuction surgery and quicker recovery is to carefully follow the surgeon’s recovery instructions.

    A Day before the Surgery

A few basic tips should be followed just a day prior to the liposuction surgery. These will include:

    • Take adequate rest and sleep well on the night before the surgery.
    • Do not eat or drink anything for about eight hours before the surgery.
    • Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 48 hours prior to the surgery.
    • Avoid wearing makeup, jewelry, body piercings, nail paint, or contact lenses on the day of the surgery.
    • Wear loose fitting and comfortable garments while going to the surgery center. If the liposuction will be performed in the upper area of the body, wear a top with buttons in the front.
    • Diabetic patients should have their vital parameters checked on the morning of the surgery.

It is natural to have some pre-surgery anxiety a day before the surgery. The surgeon may prescribe a calming medication to be taken on the night before the surgery. Experienced plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin receive patients from Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and other communities across the horizon for liposuction.

    Liposuction Procedure Steps

    Liposuction

Liposuction Liposuction is a known, routine, and judicious body contouring plastic surgery procedure, which has remained popular for more than three decades in the US. The procedure has become less risky over the years due to innovative surgical techniques. Several approaches to perform liposuction are available today, but the general steps in the procedure largely remain unchanged in each case.
Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin are board certified plastic surgeons providing liposuction and various other surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. Patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and surrounding locations have an opportunity to receive liposuction from the surgeons at MBody.

    Anesthesia

Most of the liposuction plastic surgery procedures will involve only local anesthesia, but if the procedure requires substantial fat removal from multiple areas or is performed together with other surgeries, general anesthesia may be needed. Sometimes the surgeon may use mild sedation along with local anesthesia, depending on the patient’s anxiety levels.
One of the more popular techniques to perform liposuction is tumescent liposuction, which only requires the use of local anesthesia. However, if the patient has an allergy to the local anesthetic lidocaine, they may have to choose another liposuction technique.

    Placement of Incisions

Once the patient has been placed under anesthesia, the surgeon will begin the procedure by making small incisions in discreet locations within the targeted area. The size of incisions may typically range between a quarter and a third of an inch. An experienced surgeon will keep the incisions well-hidden so that the subsequent scarring is not very unfavorable.
Accomplished plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin receive patients from Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and nearby areas for liposuction.

    Reducing Fat Tissue

The surgeon will introduce a thin cannula to eliminate or reduce the unwanted fat deposits through the incisions. As the vacuum tube penetrates the deeper fat tissue layers, the surgeon will gently manipulate it to dislodge the fat cells. These isolated cells will then be suctioned out through a pump or syringe attached to the other end of the cannula.
Sometimes the surgeon may add laser, RF or ultrasonic energy techniques at this stage of fat removal to make liposuction more precise and less aggressive. All through the fat removal stage, the patient will be administered replacement fluids through IV in order to make up for the loss of blood and fluid.

    Wound Closure

Following the completion of fat reduction, the surgeon will close the wounds with dissolvable or removable sutures. Drain tubes will be placed below the skin for a few days to collect excess fluid and reduce the risk of infection. Both drain tubes and sutures may be removed in about a week to 10 days.
If the incisions are very minor, the surgeon may decide to leave them open in order to minimize swelling and bruising. If the procedure involves additional surgeries, the procedure steps may have to be adjusted.

Liposuction Plastic Surgery Risks and Safety

Liposuction Plastic Surgery Risks and Safety | Richmond | McLeanNew liposuction techniques have made the procedure safer and more poignant over the years, and it currently ranks as the second most popular plastic surgery in the US. Post-operative downtime and discomfort is reduced with the current techniques. However, some amount of risk will always be associated with liposuction, just like any other surgery.
It is important to choose a fully trained and experienced surgeon to minimize the risk with liposuction. On the other side, the patient should be fully committed to following the surgeon’s pre- and post-operative guidelines.
Board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin provide liposuction to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and other surrounding locations.

    Potential Complications

As long as the patient chooses a surgeon with a proven track record and expertise in the area of plastic surgery, the chances of serious complications are minimal. However, it is still important for the patient to know about the potential complications in order to make a well-considered decision.

    • Infection risks during and after the surgery
    • Poor reaction to anesthesia
    • Formation of blood clots
    • Fluid accumulation below the skin
    • Excessive loss of blood or fluids during the surgery
    • Extended or permanently altered skin sensation in treated areas
    • Slow post-op healing
    • Unfavorable scarring
    • Skin pigmentation changes
    • Damage to healthy surrounding tissue or nerves
    • Damage to the internal organs

    Rare Complications

In extremely rare cases, severe or life threatening complications may occur due to liposuction surgery. These may include cardiac arrest, cardiac arrhythmia, internal blood clotting, excessive bleeding, seizures, permanent nerve damage, brain damage from anesthesia, or acute drug interactions.
An experienced cosmetic surgeon can avoid such extreme eventualities for good candidates for liposuction. Dedicated plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin receive patients from Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and other communities in this part of the country for liposuction.

    Risks of Excessive Fat Reduction

If excessive liposuction is performed in a single day, it will increase the risks. Fat removal should ideally be limited to less than 10 pounds of fat from a specific area for body contouring. The risk of complications will increase if larger amounts of fat are removed from one or more areas.
Sagging skin, lumps or dents in the treated areas may arise because of excessive liposuction. For patients who require more extensive fat reduction, the procedure should be performed in phases, with adequate gap between two phases.

    Risk Mitigation

The patient should be forthcoming about all the necessary information regarding their current health condition, old health records, currently used prescription and non-prescription drugs, history of tobacco and alcohol, and any other lifestyle habits.
This will ensure that the surgeon can correct determine the patient’s fitness level and prepare for any anticipated complications. The patient should have a stable body weight, which should be within 25 pounds of their ideal weight.

    eMatrix Laser Skin Resurfacing

eMatrix Laser Skin Resurfacing | Richmond Medical Spa | FairfaxAdvanced laser based techniques offer an effective alternative to patients who want to rejuvenate skin appearance without involving plastic surgery. One of the cutting edge laser treatments available today to mitigate the signs of aging is eMatrix laser skin resurfacing.
Board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin provide eMatrix laser skin resurfacing to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and surrounding locations.

    What is eMatrix?

eMatrix is one of the latest resurfacing laser techniques that can deliver results similar to more aggressive laser procedures but without being so invasive in its approach. eMatrix is an FDA cleared laser skin resurfacing treatment that will gently resurface the skin over four to five treatments.
eMatrix procedure is designed to tighten the loose skin on the surface, enhances skin texture, and mitigates the effect of mild to moderate wrinkles and fines, acne scars, and abdominal stretch marks. Enlarged pores can be tightened, and the skin appears more radiant after this treatment.
One of the key advantages of eMatrix over more aggressive or ablative laser procedures is that it will avoid the prolonged downtime associated with such procedures. That makes it ideal for working people and busy moms who typically want treatments that can fit into their busy lifestyle and work schedule.

    RF Energy

The foundation of the sublative rejuvenation achieved with eMatrix is the radio frequency (RF) energy and how that energy is delivered. During the procedure, controlled heat is generated below the skin surface without causing damage to the top layer of the skin. The heat energy helps to trigger fresh production of collagen and elastin fibers in the deeper layers of the skin.
This allows for the emergence of tighter, smoother and brighter appearance of the skin in the treated areas. Results are more sustainable and natural looking because the impact is created from within the deeper tissue. Results continue to establish over a few months, and can be maintained with annual treatments.
Downtime involved is about two days, but mild roughness in the treated areas can persist for about three to five days. Patients can apply makeup after the first 48 hours to camouflage the initial effects on the skin.
Experienced plastic surgeons Dr. Burton Sundin and Dr. Reps Sundin receive patients from Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and nearby areas for eMatrix laser resurfacing.

    How does it Work?

Optimal outcomes with non-surgical laser or light based treatments can be achieved when the energy penetrates into the deeper skin layers without overheating the top skin layer. More aggressive procedures are hampered by this limitation because they will tend to overheat the top layer to the point of total ablation or removal, forcing new skin formation.
Sublative rejuvenation in case of eMatrix makes use of fractionated bi-polar radio frequency to penetrate through the skin, delivering more concentrated energy under the skin surface to maximize collagen formation, while keep the top skin layer intact all the time. Therefore, the procedure becomes safe for all skin types, and is less invasive, requiring a shorter amount of time for the skin to heal.
