Brow Lift / Forehead Lift Surgery
Brow lift or forehead lift cosmetic surgery can be performed using short incision and less invasive endoscopic techniques. Your surgeon will try to create discreet incisions by making them in the hair bearing scalp. However, in some cases, they would have to make the incisions in the natural forehead creases. Open brow lift or long incision surgery is generally used when substantive correction of the forehead tissue and muscles are involved.

Open Brow Lift Procedure
You will be given local anesthesia or sedation to ensure you are asleep and comfortable during the procedure. The surgeon will then make a long incision across the forehead in a horizontal fashion. This will either be made in the natural forehead crease or the hairline to keep any subsequent scarring to a minimum.
The surgeon will remove excess fat tissue through the incision and tighten loose muscles. They will trim away loose skin and pull remaining skin taut. The brow will then be sutured in a new and youthful position.
Endoscopic Brow Lift Procedure
The surgeon will place tiny incisions on the scalp after administering local anesthesia or mild sedation. They will use the incisions for inserting a tiny endoscopic camera. The camera will be inserted all the way to deeper tissues to give the surgeon an unobstructed view of the underlying structures. They will be able to perform the brow lift in a less invasive and more precise manner. This will result in reduced downtime and discomfort.
Limited Incision Brow Lift Procedure
This is a hybrid technique in which the surgeon makes use of both endoscopic and open surgery. Small incisions will be created by the surgeon for gently lifting the outer eyebrow area. This will be done without using an endoscope. The incisions will be hidden away in the temporal hairline.
This cosmetic surgery technique cannot correct the central part of the brow. However, it is effective in reducing fine lines and wrinkles at the eye corners. This is also called the crow’s feet. Your surgeon will choose an effective brow technique depending on your personal preferences and the degree of correction required.
Combined Surgery
Procedural steps may need to be altered if the brow lift plastic surgery is performed in combination with another procedure. You may need to correct all conditions at the same time if you have droopy upper lids, sagging brows, and loose skin around the eyelids. This is necessary for creating natural looking results. Your surgeon will develop a custom forehead lift or brow lift plan after consulting with you.
