How much do Hair Loss Treatments Cost?

How much do Hair Loss Treatments Cost?Hair loss is a common aesthetic concern among men as well as women. A number of cutting edge hair restoration solutions are available today to address this problem. The cost is an important issue for many patients because hair loss treatments are considered elective procedures and are not covered by insurance.
MBody is a premier plastic surgery and non-surgical practice providing advanced and innovative hair loss treatments to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredricksburg, and surrounding locations.

    Cost Variations

The sticker price of hair loss treatments will primarily depend on the type of hair loss procedure chosen. A number of invasive as well as non-invasive treatments are available today, but not every treatment is equally effective. Secondly, the choice of treatment may depend on the pattern of hair loss, age and health of the patient, the availability of donor hair, and the personal goals of the patient.
Therefore, patients must choose an appropriate hair restoration procedure that meets their needs most effectively, and not merely consider the costs to make their decision. Hair transplantation surgery is traditionally accepted as an effective way to restore natural hair. The procedure is significantly invasive and also more expensive than other treatment options.

    FUE Hair Transplant
The board certified plastic surgeons at MBody have introduced a less invasive hair transplant technique called Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). This procedure is more efficient, less invasive and less painful, and involves very little downtime. The FUE procedure may also turn out to be relatively more affordable than the traditional hair transplant surgery. However, the costs of the procedure can vary depending on a few factors.

    LLLT
Another hair loss treatment, which can serve as a supplementary therapy to FUE hair transplantation is Low Level Laser Therapy or LLLT. This is a non-surgical procedure, which is more affordable and designed to support the efficacy of the FUE treatment. Depending on the patient’s needs LLLT may also be offered as a standalone treatment, but it will be more useful as well as more cost-effective when combined with FUE treatment.

    ACell™ + PRP Therapy
Hair regeneration can be achieved with a unique ACell™  MatriStem technique in conjunction with platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy. This dual treatment can produce stronger hair follicles and robust hair re-growth. In a few cases, PRP therapy may be performed individually, which is simple injectable procedure. The dollar figure of the combined procedure will obviously be higher than PRP performed alone, but the procedure will cost lower than FUE hair transplantation.
