The degree of enhancement and revitalization from cold plasma energy cannot be replicated with any other existing technologies such as ultrasound, laser, or RF.

    Skin Rejuvenation Treatment

J-Plasma Renuvion skin tightening treatment is a revolutionary procedure in the cosmetic industry. This procedure makes use of targeted cold plasma energy to offer patients dramatically skin improvements and reduction in signs of aging.

The J-Plasma Renuvion Face and J-Plasma Renuvion Body treatments deliver cold plasma energy to the undersurface of the skin. However, J-Plasma skin resurfacing delivers cold plasma on the skin’s surface to ablate and smooth skin making it appear much more youthful and rejuvenated.

Modern Body Contouring & Laser Center (MBody), led by board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton M. Sundin and Dr. Reps B. Sundin, provides J-Plasma treatment to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and surrounding communities.

    J-Plasma Renuvion Skin Tightening Treatment

J-Plasma Renuvion skin resurfacing utilizes cold plasma energy to procedure tighter and firmer skin. Furthermore, it encourages the skin to generate new cells. The surgeon uses energized helium gas to ablate tissue at very low temperatures.

This causes minimal damage to the surrounding healthy tissue. Initially, this technology was developed and used to eliminate malignant lesions. It was also found to be advantageous for aesthetic purposes because of its exceptional ability for cellular rejuvenation.

Cold plasma is distinct from the plasma used for PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatments which is found in human blood. The J-Plasma skin resurfacing procedure uses cold plasma to treat fragile skin areas such as the eyelids without damaging the surrounding areas.

This skin resurfacing treatment is an outpatient procedure where the surgeon uses the J-Plasma wand to delicately “paint” the treatment areas with cold plasma energy.

J-Plasma skin resurfacing can address the entire face or the mouth (peri-oral) or eye (peri-ocular) region. It can also be added to other aesthetic procedures for more dramatic outcomes.

    J-Plasma Renuvion Skin Consultation

The surgeon’s staff will offer the patient detailed information on achieving outstanding outcomes from their J-Plasma Renuvion skin tightening treatment. They will also address the patient’s concerns beforehand and discuss their desired outcomes. The surgeon will also explain the techniques and anesthesia options to the patient.

Before the procedure, the surgeon may recommend that the patient receives a series of two chemical peels to prepare the skin for the J-Plasma procedure.

    Renuvion Skin Tightening Recovery

In order to reduce the inflammation and speed up the healing process after the J-Plasma procedure, the patient will undergo a combination of amnion and PRP followed by a moisturizing mask which will be kept in place for one to three days.

The patient will need to return to the office after five days of the procedure for a cleansing facial. In general, the patient will return for another facial after five days of the initial facial to make sure that they are healing properly.

The inflammation and bruising may take between one to three weeks to subside. It will take many months for the final outcomes to manifest. This resurfacing treatment may cause pinkness in the skin for six to ten weeks after the procedure. This pinkness can be easily camouflaged with makeup. To address minor discomfort from the treatment, patients can take Tylenol.
