    Non-surgical Arm Lift – Renuvion J-Plasma

    Tag Archives: NonSurgical

J-Plasma skin tightening and contouring procedure works well on almost any part of the body. The treatment offers particularly remarkable results to people seeking to address loose, hanging skin in the upper arms.

These people may want to avoid traditional body lift cosmetic surgery for one reason or another. In such cases, J-Plasma can provide significant improvement without involving surgery.

Tightening loose and sagging skin in the upper arms has always been challenging without surgical removal of excess skin. However, now J-Plasma in combination with liposuction can offer a good alternative to arm lift surgery, with minimal to no scarring or downtime.

An ideal candidate for this treatment is an individual with sagging and loose skin in the upper arms and who do not want to consider traditional arm lift surgery.

Modern Body Contouring & Laser Center (MBody), led by board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton M. Sundin and Dr. Reps B. Sundin, provides J-Plasma arm lift treatment to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and surrounding locations.

    What is Plasma Energy?

When helium gas is ionized by radiofrequency energy, cold plasma is produced. This can be delivered to the treatment area using the J-Plasma device. Since helium gas is quite stable, it can be ionized at a very low energy which can ensure a targeted, safe, and flexible delivery.

Cold plasma is cooler in comparison to laser energy. This makes the J-Plasma arm lift procedure safer with minimal risks and tissue damage which results in a shorter recovery period.

Many other available technologies cannot rival the degree of improvement and rejuvenation that cold plasma energy offers. This level of skin tightening may not always be achieved using ultrasound, laser or radiofrequency treatment.

    Preparing for Surgery

During the consultation process, the surgeon will address any questions or concerns that the patient may have as well as discuss their desired outcomes from this procedure.

Before the procedure, the surgeon will instruct the patient not to use any productions comprising garlic, aspirin, vitamin E and ginseng for two weeks as this may lead to a higher risk of bruising. If the patient is a smoker, they will need to quit smoking for a minimum of two weeks.

    Procedure Information

The J-Plasma procedure for upper arm skin tightening is an in-office procedure which is performed under local anesthesia. The surgeon will commence the procedure by placing small, discreet incisions in strategic locations depending on where the skin is loose and sagging in the upper arms.

Then the surgeon will use the J-Plasma device on the undersurface of the skin (sub-dermally) to deliver cold plasma energy. This will immediately shrink, tighten and revitalize skin from within. The outcomes are instant and continually improve as the patient’s body recovers.

Following the procedure, the surgeon and their team will observe the patient. The upper arms may feel slightly tight or sore following this procedure. Over the counter medications can help address slight discomfort. But if the pain is persistent or unbearable, the patient should reach out to the surgeon immediately.

J-Plasma body contouring and skin tightening is an innovative procedure that tightens and contours sagging skin anywhere on the body in a non-invasive manner.

This treatment is ideally used to perform a neck lift for patients who want to avoid cosmetic surgery. The J-Plasma system uses a unique device that delivers “helium plasma’’ energy through small incisions to the skin’s undersurface in the neck area.

The patient can receive J-Plasma treatment by itself or as is frequently the case, along with liposuction. After a fat removal through liposuction, J-Plasma can tighten the skin. This combination produces excellent improvements to the contours of the body which would not have been possible otherwise.

Modern Body Contouring & Laser Center (MBody), led by board-certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton M. Sundin and Dr. Reps B. Sundin, provides non-surgical neck lift with J-Plasma to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and surrounding locations.

    How is the Procedure Done?

Initially, the neck region is infiltrated with the same local tumescent anesthesia that is used while performing liposuction.

Then, the surgeon will place small incisions in the treatment area. Subsequently, they will use these incisions to insert a special device to deliver helium plasma energy the skin’s undersurface to tighten and control it in a precise manner.

The helium plasma energy makes the skin tauter immediately as well as enhances the production of new collagen in the treated area. The improvements continue to establish for many months after the treatment.

    Helium Plasma Energy

Helium is an inert and non-reactive gas. But when radiofrequency energy ionizes it, it becomes very reactive. This is a state that scientists call “plasma.” Upon contact with the undersurface of the skin, the helium plasma immediately makes it taut to a level that is unmatched by other contemporary technologies such as radiofrequency, ultrasound or lasers.

Furthermore, helium plasma is much cooler than laser energy. This makes it much less harmful. J-Plasma is an innovative device that has received FDA-approval for tightening skin on almost any area of the body such as the neck, arms, back, abdomen, tors0, etc.

Final Results with J-Plasma Neck Lift

The body contouring and skin tightening impacts are visible between one and two weeks as soon as the inflammation dissipates. Within one month of the procedure, the patient experiences a remarkable enhancement in the appearance of the neck area.

The helium energy promotes collagen production over the next three to six months following the procedure. This enables the neck skin to look tauter and more youthful.

    Estimated Downtime

The patient can expect mild inflammation and slight bruising following this procedure. This usually resolves in a week to 14 days. Even if the liposuction and J-Plasma procedures are done together, the healing time is the same as that with liposuction alone.

The surgeon may advise the patient to wear post-liposuction garments after a J-Plasma procedure. The patient can resume light activities after two to three days of the procedure similar to liposuction.
