The nearest major airport is Washington Dulles International Airport. This airport has international and domestic flights from Dulles, Virginia and is 13 miles from the center of Tysons Corner, VA. You should visit the Centennial Park, which is bordered by the scenic Washington and OD Regional Park Trail. History lovers can explore the Freeman House and Museum, which was original a general store/residence built in the mid-19th century.
The Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts always offers something for everyone. Performances here usually range from pop to country to orchestra to dance to opera.
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is a hidden gem of the DC region, and you cannot miss it if you are a nature lover. When the flowers are blooming, or fall foliage colors the trees, this park is a wonderful place for a stroll.
Washington and Old Dominion Trail
The Washington and Old Dominion Trail is a rails-to-trails bike path that is 44 miles long and follows an historic railroad line. The stretch of trail to downtown Vienna offers scenic beauty for walkers and bikers. If you stop at the historic train station at the end of trail, you can check out a vintage red caboose and admire the large Vienna mural.
Church Street Shops
Businesses on Church Street come and go, but there are always a number of them that will make your visit worthwhile. Just Like New is an upscale store selling designer clothes, estate jewelry, and more. The Clock Shop of Vienna, which is just a block away, has over 500 clocks on display. Closer to the bike trail you may purchase handmade chocolates at Cocoa Vienna. When you are ready for a break, consider visiting the popular coffee shop, Cafe Amouri.
